ask other people not to smoke in your home, especially babysitters or others who care for your children.

 

choose non–smoking sections at restaurants, or choose to eat at places that do not allow smoking.

talk with your child about the dangers of smoking and secondhand smoke.

 

put it OUTside by smoking outdoors—not in your house or in your car.
